A new chapter begins

All things must come to an end and today I feel is the right time for me to respectfully bow out from professional photography. I am no longer accepting photography commissions.

Working solely as an independent photographer for the last 35 plus years has been an incredible journey. I was lucky enough to experience two different careers in photography: beginning in the early 1980’s as an advertising/industrial photographer and later transitioning to a golf course photographer in 1995.

Photography has given me the opportunity to meet and work with so many wonderful people across a large range of different businesses and industries. In the studio I worked on small table-top to large room sets, photographing people and a wide variety of products. I traveled across Canada, USA and England photographing in a number of different factories, assembly plants, warehouses and offices. My work has been reproduced in ads, brochures, magazines, books, calendars, packaging, annual reports, billboards, etc.

Golf photography gave me even more opportunity to travel to some of the most beautiful locations in Canada, USA, Scotland and Ireland. Working alone, I was always striving to capture the "hero" shot on these magnificent golf courses. While I worked very hard to capture these images I never thought of it as work. I loved what I was doing.

Now I begin a new life chapter, including slowly returning to and discovering what it means to take pictures for myself. Something I have forgotten how to do!

A big thank you to everyone I have had the pleasure to work with over so many years!
